Hi Guys,

Advice time.....This is gonna sound stupid but.....

I have a WRX which I have only had a few days and I'm not too sure on the old petrol consumption. I have to travel about 35 miles from work to home on crappy B roads!! My petrol gauge says 1/4 of a tank, but I think it is lying as from what I could see at the weekend the secound half of the gauge went a lot quicker than than the first. As I said sounds stupid but do any of you guys have any idea if this will last me home (without booting it) from your own experience?

I agree with the protesters, but this is an @rse!!

Regards

Andy

Cool

Andy,

You'll get home on a 1/4 of a tank, just don't enjoy yourself too much. FYI, I can get about 60 miles out of the last 1/4 until the light comes on. I have got a 60 litre tank though. You might have a 50 litre depending on the age of your car

on my 96STi with a 60 L tank , the guage will go down to the middle bar of the E and still run, although right turns cause a bit of splutter.

Cheers Guys,

I have a 50L tank I think (Nov 95 model) and I'm feeling confident, but it doesn't matter either as there are loads of pubs on my way home between Pangbourne and Basingstoke. So if it begins to cough a bit I will just have to take up shop in one of those until my girlfriend rescues me!! Shame, shame.......

Regards

Stay at the pub until petrol supplies return! My boss might not be to happy but it sounds just dandy to me.
