Default Would you buy a 60k miles WRX STI?

Hi guys.....

I am looking at purchasing my 1st WRX Sti - 02 plate Prodrive style...

The car has covered 60k miles with full Subaru Service history - and the dealer has offered me a great price for my car - much better than other garages !

Would you buy a sti that has 60k miles on it? or am I asking for trouble... it is in imaculate condition inside and out with just a few stone chips on the bonnet as you would expect from 60k miles...

Anything to look out for on this car?, I have driven it and it flies!, just a bit quicker than my Focus at the moment

any help - greatfully received..

thanks

Andy

Go for it. It's got FSSH so any problems should have been sorted.
If your that worried take out a warranty on it via one of the online companies.

Andy.

I couldn't care less about mileage ... up to a point! 60k is not that significant really (20k a year is average these days isn't it?) and a FSH means that any problems to date will have been picked up.

I used to own a JDM STi Ver V; fantastic car during 2 years of ownership. Good = smile factor, warp speed, wave from fellow scooby owners!; bad = high maintenance ie insurance, service every 6 months, low MPG and high petrol cost (Optimax). Good outweighs bad IMHO though.

Might stay away from a 300k "banger" though ...

AndyLyman, explain what the deal actually is, screen price your p/x value and year.

Sounds to me like they have a very large profit margin in this STi hence the better p/x value.

My 02 JDM WRX Wagon has just passed 51K

It had done 37K when I bought it around 20 months old - although most of those miles were done by the previous owner commuting on the motorway, so I presumed fairly relaxed driving.

Average is dropping now, I've only done 14K in the last 18 months.

Had a Tek 3 and a few other mods and it's going great
