on a motorway run, at constant speed, i get perhaps high twenties to the gallon
BUT around the lanes or if you really use the performance (which you will) then mid teens would be an average.
but having said that i do not notice the fuel consumption is worse after the PPP than before - and it is a lot more fun

02 WRX PPP Mileage
Mine used to give around 15 mpg around town, thats about 40 miles at best from a £10, but I didn't uy it for the economy as my dad reminded me when I was complaining about the cost of fuel

Mine was 23mpg before Tek 3 remap (similiar to PPP) - and 23mpg after...... This is commuting down country lanes mainly.
I once stayed off boost for a whole tank and got 28mpg (same coutry roads, never tried on a long motorway run, I always get bored lol)
Doesn't seem to affect mpg but definitely makes the car more fun to drive.
That's on a Newage WRX Wagon.

Also, after PPP i noticed a big difference. PPP on my MY05 made enough of a difference in that before I could get more than 300 miles to a tank, say 320-4340. Now I'm lucky if I make 300...

I recently got 331 miles from 49.37 litres.
4.4 litres to a gallon = 11.22 gallons
331 divided by 11.22 = 29.5mpg.
Standard WRX (no PPP) sticking to 75-80mph on the motorway for 250 miles and the rest steady town driving. I was pretty pleased with the results but had to resist my normal driving habits that normally return 22mpg at best.
Worst return was my first full tank after buying the car, 17mpg.

So I reckon you got 30.48mpg overall.
Result!

The only problem is 'sods law'. I drove conservatively from South Wales to Windsor and back on the M4 to test my max mpg, achieving (what I now know) was 30.48mpg.
The only problem was while I was there I was given a parking ticket for the grand offence of "The vehicle was not parked in a marked bay". My two right-wheels were slightly over the white lines of the bay next to me!!
It cost me £25, (or 2/3 tank of fuel)!!
hehehehe, oh life is so effing unfair sometimes.

Std 05 wrx: 22mpg around town/26mpg on an economy m'way run.
Now after TEK3/decat etc (and much more performance): <24mpg around town. not yet tried economy run..!
Strange but true. My theory is I don't need so many revs or gear changes to really be pushing on..?
As GP said "If you're concerned about MPG then a scoob is definately not the car for you..!"

MY00 TEK2, de-cat.
Easy to get 27-30 mpg. Got 320 out of a tank a few weeks ago. Don't really study it that much tbh.
Get better MPG than 2 of my mates who have sports!!

Two things influenced the low MPG: 1) I drove with a light right foot and 2) the increased low-down torque (= greater engine flexibility) of PPP means that you can short-shift and run at lower engine speeds at low road speeds (eg in 30-40 mph zones).

So, when the engine has loosened up, I guess it'd be possible to get more, but on the other hand, when it's run in, it'll be possible to drive the car as it's meant to be driven!

usually recon to get 25 - 30 mpg just driving about (on optimax). i managed 366 miles before refueling on sat!!!! approx 50% motorway, 40% A roads + 10% back road blast. had air-con on for about 50% of driving too! took 57 litres to fill it up though!
i just had to make it to the next shell garage!
