Drove to MK Subaru in Bletchley to get an oil filter this morning and was surprised to see it has shut down, does any body know why? ,I thought it was going ok for them.
Now need to find a mail order parts for genuine Scooby filters any advice?

I only ever bought filters from them.
I think they took over from Adams Group and were part of Cotswold Subaru or something like that.
Adams finished there a while ago.

MK Subaru was not part of Aylesbury Subaru nor part of the Adams Group (had not been for years) they have moved to Witney in Oxon, same guys are there, call Drew on 01993 776622.

That's odd because I once phoned their Bletchley number and enquired about some parts. Was told they were in stock so set off to Bletchley to pick up.
When I got there the service guy said "Oh, you must have spoken to Aylesbury because we don't keep a stock of parts here. We often divert the phone so you need to ask which branch you're talking to"
Needless to say I didn't bother with them again. There was also some mention of being involved with Deerleap Subaru.
Glad I bought a JDM now, the Subaru specialists are so better clued up for parts and actually know what you're asking for without reg. no., vin no. blood type, mother's maiden name, etc.

Yep, they were Deer Leap (same as Aylesbury) years ago, since I have had my Scoob they have been MK Subaru which has no connection with Deer Leap. TBH i've never heard a bad word about MK Subaru, i'll still be using them at their new place....

I went by about a week ago and there was a VW van outside the front doors loading up all the fire extingishers leaving the place completely empty by the look of it. Van had Isuzu/Subaru signwriting, sure it said Cotswold Garage or very similar. Deer Leap which was something to do with Adams in Bletchley went yonks ago and Cotswold then took it over I understand.

Not going independant are they, like Oakley garage?
Oakley are 10 minutes from me. Used to be a Subaru dealer but for some reason, as of last year, are no longer. I phoned them to ask about replacing my leaking cam cover gaskets.
Was told, they didn't know how long it would take, but it would be a fair and reasonable price. I was told an hourly rate of £60.
When I commented that I wasn't prepared to give them carte blanche without some estimate of cost, they just repeated it would be fair & reasonable.
I then spoke with David at API and he said to just pop over and they'll take a look, they may be able to do it on a Saturday morning. Can't praise API highly enough but they're just typical of the service offered by the specialists.

Are Oakley Garage still trading? I drove past there the other day and they looked like they were selling candles or something in the area that used to have the cars
I now use Quenbys in Baldock - nice bunch of guys but they won't budge on the buy price of an STi!!!!!
