What make gauge is it ?

If is a subaru one then the main dealer will help, otherwise, you need to get a sender that is appropriately scaled to the gauge, or an exact match from someone who supplies the same gauges..

OK in which case if you have the wiring info for the gauge, I guess it is 3 or 4 wires ?

In which case 1 will be the power supply to the gauge, (1 possibly an earth) then the other 2 probably to the sender.

You need an appropriate 2/3 wire sender that has the same scaling as the gauge.

If ytou need to check the signal type to the gauge this can be done relatively easily with a few basic bits and bobs.

I'm sure I've already posted this somewhere in technical, try a search.

yes most senders are 1/4 NPT. I got mine and all the other fittings from these helpful chaps in Bedford http://www.lma-group.com/motorsport/.../products.html

The block itself is M18 IIRC, but I can't 100% remember.....

Can check sometime soon but don't have the info nearby.
