VIN
[weirdness logging in, so may appear twice]
Experian online says my VIN is not correct (doesn't recognise it). But I have an Experian Certificate of History from the Scooby dealer with the VIN which says it's OK.
Checking with the Chris Rees book, the VIN does not follow his explanation.
JF1GF8KD3VGnnnnnn
So that's Japan factory 1, Impreza wagon 2-litre. Ok so far. The KD should be D5 (MY97 5-door). And then what's 3VG? Anyone got a clue? Should I contact Experian?
Ta,
Steve

Hi, i had the same problem but with subaru uk. My car is registered as a uk turbo 2000 but they have no record of it and when they tried to pull up the 'FIJI' site, it was down so god knows to be honest. I was worried but checked the car over and all the plates are intact, dont appear tampered with etc so wouldn't worry, BUT, what is experian??

Experian
Experian is like HPI - it provides a vehicle mileage check (which also includes Finance, stolen, total loss claim, high risk, plate changes)
