Is being dirty better??
We all know how the Impreza is made of BacoFoil and it dents if you just look at one spot for too long.
Now, when the car is a little dusty/dirty the dents and scratches seem to disappear mostly.
But, you spend all day Saturday Washing, T Cutting, Waxing and Finishing your pride and joy and what happens???
It looks VERY shiny, VERY polished ....... BUT, you have also Polished up the dents ... I'm SURE it looks better a bit dirty!?
When selling .... better to leave a little dirty - or polish to a high sheen, but show all the dents and dings??
What do you reckon?
Pete

Photograph for ads with a high polished finish and let people view with a couple of days worth of road film on it. Unless you never drive it I'd expect to see it looking used, although also cared for so no rally style arcs of mud up the sides.
I agree that polishing it does bring up all the faults
