Mileometer Accuracy.
May have stumbled across a rather interesting situation.
Planned out a route from postcode A to postcode B on www.theaa.co.uk and it showed up as 69.6 miles. 1 hour 22 mins
GPS system showed route as 69 miles and 1 Hour 16 mins
However, Odometer in the lease car has shown the trip to be 87 miles ???
Nearly 30% more than route plan from AA and GPS !!
This is particularly of concern when you bear in mind that if the car does over the agreed 15K miles a year there is a penalty for each mile in excess.
It also has pretty marked implications for fuel economy calculations.
Has anyone else come across this before?

Yep
The speedo and mileometer generally read aprox 7 - 10 % higher
My sat nav indicates my spped at 70 MPH and the speedo display in the car
sits just on or below 80 MPH . Although ypours does seem a little excessive .
You aure it aint reading in Kilometers
