Surely they are comparing the wrong cars. If you have a standard STi, then put it up against a EVO260. Fairer contest. Putting 300bhp up against 261bhp, the EVO will always win. Would have been much fairer to compare a EVO FQ300 with a STi PPP. Just a thought.

Evo VII

276bhp
1400kg
200.31bhp p/t
0-60 4.99sec
0-100 13.40sec
60-100 8.41sec
13.72sec @ 101.18mph

STi Type UK '02 (7)

261bhp
1470kg
180.40bhp p/t
0-60 5.49
0-100 14.99sec
60-100 9.49sec
14.23 @ 97.45mph

Not sure how accurate these figures from LetsTorqueBHP are as there wasnt an 02 STi Type UK. So dont know if the JDM 02 STi has the same stats.

rizzy are you talking from stats or personal experiences. cos no matter how well stats prove on paper, i think its all down to how well the driver can apply the qualities.

I had an Evo6, which to be honest was lovely car though never felt that raw power of what i feel when i drive the scoob. Yes it may have been the quicker car but the feeling of a scoob was more stimulating and also i get more heads turning with my scoob, so with tradition if personally put a scoob over an evo but then again, a sti 7 would mean bug eye i believe hence id go with evo for the sheer opinion of me not liking bug eyes
