Being one of those few people who wash their cars at the company jetwash in less that 5 minutes flat, I've let the wheels go a bit and they're caked in brake dust - regardless of standing there pointing the jetwash at them thinking, 'yup, thirty seconds of this and... ****!'.

Anyway the're prodrive gold (I like them, okay!) 17"ers.

Can ayone tell me exactly which WW product(s) I can use to get the brake dust off and keep it off with the minimum of effort and keep them protected and looking nice?

Used the multipurpose cleaner (meant for engine bay and wheels, and diluted for interior too). Squirt on from the pump bottle, and leave for a couple of minutes. Get a brush (like a washing-up brush) and scrub the area (scrub is a bit too harsh a verb, it is a very effective cleaner, whatever it is). Rinse. Voila.

Try to get some of the old Zymol brake dust protector from Mark. It is excellent!

I am not sure if there is a WW equivalent.

Cheers,

Question

I heard somewhere that if you wax the wheels (once clean) it makes it much easier to clean them subsequently, perhaps even a spray off affair.
Saying that, I use the WoW Multipurpose cleaner and a sponge myself, works a treat, and my wheels are all nooks and crannies - a pig to clean before.
