Just seen this:

Engine Guru Maps Out Exciting New Venture

Ex-WRC stalwart and fabled ECU mapper Richard Bulmer sent ripples through the Motorsport World today with the news of his new company, Tracktive Solutions.

Bulmer, the talent behind the Prodrive slaying Subaru “Triple 3” conversions, revealed his plans today for an exciting research, development and retail facility in the East Midlands.

Having earned his stripes as Didier Auriol’s WRC Technician, as well as running Alistair Macrae, Bulmer hopes to draw on his wealth of experience from management at Oselli and MoTeC and time in F1 to provide a unique service for professional teams, manufacturers and discerning road car customers.

Currently assembling his ‘dream team’ of staff, Tracktive have already commissioned work on a bespoke premises to be opened late summer 2005 and Bulmer’s ‘Who’s Who’ CV has already attracted strong investment from major players in F1.

Typically, the modest Yorkshireman remains coy about his partners. ‘We are very lucky to have both the investment and technical assistance from the world of F1’, he explains. ‘Not only will it allow us to attract the correct calibre of personnel, but also ensure that we can lead the way with new developments and realise opportunities that much more quickly’.

The fledgling company’s already impressive portfolio includes Invicta Sports Cars World record attempt S1-600 which the company are currently helping to develop and the awesome twin-engined Ultima . This press-friendly activity has already landed them exclusive European distributorship for the desirable Hydra ECU range.

‘Don’t worry’, assures Bulmer, ‘We won’t be turning our back on what I’m best known for!.. We very much hope to keep mapping EcuTek and MoTeC for clients as well as our other commitments. Whilst the new premises are being constructed, we will be contracting to other teams and specialists to provide solutions for mapping and technical issues‘.

As well as the obvious fit in the Motorsport market, Tracktive will also be offering full retail facilities and bespoke mail order from their website, www.tracktive.co.uk. With full on-line support areas for their dealers and customers alike, the company also plans to corner the market in high specification road-going performance parts and services. Tracktive Solutions can be contacted on 0870 350 2 349

Release ends.

Sounds interesting, Richard is a top guy.
