I had a little play tonight on my private road with a 2003 STI PPP.

I was on my ZX-7R and overtook the STI. He gave chase and above a certain three figure speed he was not that far behind. No doubt he could have outrun me because my bike is geared down to 150 and a STI can do 155MPH?

The speeds we reached will remain undisclosed (Private Road anyway), but suffice to say I was impressed with the STI and may well now upgrade to one of these from my MY00.

Ok a ZX-7R is not the worlds fastest bike but still they are not exactly slow.

All good fun though and spoke to the guy at some lights about 10 miles down the private road.

given up on top speed on STI. Bottle whistle noise from windows to annoying anything over 120 (on private road that is).

Best watch out for Vectras that do 159mph tho?

ive raced bikes in my RA and kept real close. they are pretty shocked and give the thumbs up!
