How many Miles do you get to a tank of fuel??
Never thought of measuring it before, but last week I filled my car up, reset the mileage. 200 miles later the Red light was back on........
I didn't think that I pushed the car that hard and would of expected more to a tank, although I do live on an island with no speed limits!!!!!

wrx ppp 04 , 300 miles to a tank
i cover 140 miles a day and have done 26k miles in 6 months, always 300 including the orange light on for a little while,
i do 3 tanks a week, and spend 480 pound a month on optimax
i dont driver the car slow, and always take it 5.8 rpm when no cars are in front
the above milage is done on a1 = 35 and m25 =35 one way
incidently i got around 20 to 30 miles less useing a bailey DV Model Number dv12 for some stramge reason
I always reset the the counter on every fill
the worst i have had is 220 miles, but that was a one off idot day including trip to santa pod around a month or 2 back
hope this helps
this could be a great thread if everyone covers the full details and we are all looking for the same info but in slighly different areas

My worst-case mpg was 17.9 (when running in, ahem!) and best has been 29.6. I have to keep receipts for work, so I always note down the mileage and stick it in a spreadsheet at work with the litres used. Sad, I know.
I've done around 4,800 miles and the average mpg stands at 23.6
This is a combination of A-roads, town use and motorway. WRX 05.

Average is 240, but I get 270 if I take it "steady".
Best was just over 300 during the fuel crisis 5 years ago.
Worst was about 120 mostly track miles

Generally get 220/230 out of a tank, but thats all round town driving, noticed big improvement when on a run and massive improvement if you don't cane it everywhere, but then what's the point!!!.
Standard 04 WRX. (but not for long!)

I managed to get 330 miles out of my bug-eye just as the fuel light came on. Almost all of that was cruising at 65mph on the motorway, with the odd blast on the slip roads etc.
Every day I commute along the M25 and M3 (Silver, with Vortex Exhaust incase you see me - come accross a few other Impreza's each day and always wave / flash). The usual is 280 miles with plenty of idling in traffic and 1st 2nd gear stop / start. Do take it up to 5,500-6,000 rpm a few times each day though so I think that's pretty good.
Worst was when I first got the car. Got about 215 miles out of a full tank.

Over the last year, I have averaged 358 miles per tankful (60 litres). Works out at an average circa 27MPG. Top MPG has been 32. Fully standard UK MY01 WRX.

Got 250 miles out of 48 litres today (MY02 WRX PPP), and I ragged the **** off it, or so I thought ! It was quite a long run though, and there were few long stretches behind traffic at constant rpm / throttle position, so I guess that's what improved the average.

Decatted standard RB5.
Caning it around everywhere - 200-220
Normal - 40mile Motorway daily commute + the odd thrash - 280-300
Granny driving (short shifting, 65mph motorway cruise) - 330
Before the decat and first couple of years max I got on NUL was 394. Was gutted I couldn't get 400 miles out a tank just to prove a mate wrong.

MY 05PPP'd STI.
Mixed short hop, long blast driving.
If the light doesn't come on around 220 miles I must try harder next time.
Best (or worst) I've had is 270 bored M-Way miles with wife and kids in the car.

Got around 90 miles out of the 01 WRX in Ireland last weekend, running round a rally stage. Could almost see the fuel gauge drop in front of me... But boy was it worth it, the grin on my face (and the **** scared look on the passengers' faces) made it well worth the expense! Exactly what the Scooby is made for!

MY00 - best was 367
worst, 270ish
Best was done going from Bath to Glasgow, 10pm, straight run, steady cruise - awesome - And still had 6/7 litres left. I'm convinced that with the right conditions you can get 400miles from a tank
...and for all of the paraniod nutters, NO i'm not runnig lean, new o2 and MAF six months ago - pretty much always been able to get good fuel ecomony.
'being quick is about being smooth' - some german guy said that, into formula one apparently
