Sat Nav for France??
Could do with Sat Nav for travelling through France this summer - what's the cheapest way of doing it, aside from the missus and a map?

I bought myself a PDA (mio 168) with 'tomtom' software. Comes with a built-in GPS receiver, so need for extra aerial leads etc (and you can take it out on a walk with u!).
About the same price as a dedicated car unit, but with the extra functions of a PDA

Get a Navman PiN it comes with all the european map software and works out the box so no need to buy extra stuff. the Device is a Mio 168 so as albob said it is a complete portable unit.
However do not use a 1gb sd card in it as it will not work properly.
