Ah, but the Impreza's not a crap Chav car. It's a real sporting car with AWD and a well sorted suspension. They are excellent cars worthy of respect. 
I think the new one is a little odd looking, but much better than the bug-eyes version. WRX and WRX-STI are ferocious road eating monsters for which Toyota has no equal in the current range. Subaru deserves credit for taking performance seriously. It's too bad Toyota doesn't seem to these days. It's especially nice that Subaru delivers class leading performance for a fair price and without requiring you pay for a bunch of useless coddling luxury features. These days you've got to look at expensive Lexus models if you want anything remotely like a performance car and that is unfortunate.

The pistons wear on the bottom, resulting in oval pistons!! Sounds like some of the old women on here!! **** Oil Change / MAF Failure spring to mind??

Not to mention how much subaru "cheapened" the entire gold wheels thing 
And being responsible for countless "scooby scoops" on novas, fiestas, etc... Clearly the driver of these things aspire to..... you guessed it.... a Scooby.

Any performance car, be it Subaru, Honda, Audi, or whatever, will be obtained by people who maybe haven`t got 20k+ to spend on a car when it first hits the market, and have to wait for years before they can afford the car they have always wanted. That doesn`t make the car any less desirable, and in my opinion is testament to the fact that many Scoobys of vintage years are still going strong.
You can pick any car from any manufacturer ie: BMW 3 series, VW Golf GTi, Audi TT, etc, which are all so-called quality cars, and still find them being driven and owned by some of the less-desirable among us.
Nobody calls them bloody Chav cars, do they ?

I'll just be just glad when the unviel/revealed the new Facelift car, IIRC will be at an International Motorshow VERY soon may be even the Barcelona one which will save all these Photoshop/auto express type copies :rollyes:

yep i had to read it all myself just for the laugh.
i also couldnt believe that it was the american was the one who had the most sensible and non bias views.
i mean crumbs i only came across it coz my wrx has got to go i place and i was looking for a legacy owners club..but well i just had to laugh
anyway i'll pop over to the RS owners club now ...wonder what they have to say about scoobs..........

Infact i only passed one this morning with Viper stripes and spangaley
graphics.
They are no longer desirable.
And as for all the slagging off from the Toyota brigade, i bet most of them
have never even been in ,let alone driven a scoob.
If they had there is no way they would ever prefer the Toyota to the scoob
As we all know once the scoob bug bites it's damn hard to let go !!!!
And as for that bloody quad bike !

I bought a scooby because i love everything about them, the styling, the looks and the performance. I can't remember the last time i looked at a Toyota and thought "wow i have to get one" probably cause i never have. And if i see a micra etc with a scooby bonnet vent even i think "*****". Scoobys are not chav cars and it is really rare to see a dog rough version as we take pride in our cars and spend a fortune on them looking good. Toyota Yaris? My grans got one.

I would like to think that scoobynet is a good forum and website. It caters for owners of a great many different marque, some were previous Scoob owners some weren't.......Other web sites are good but on the whole much slower than this place, SN has alot of traffic, which makes it an interesting read.
As for hating scoobs, its a personal thing, I have a love hate relationship with mine. I love to drive it, and I love the looks and comments it gets. I hate the cost of the damned thing and some of its traits (like understeer) .... Would I sell it for a different car if someone came up with an offer, YEP, would I miss it YEP ....
I also post on alot of other sites and still think SN is the best. Other than my own of course
