Wink Spoilers

I would be interseted in hearing from anybody who has fitted an after
market spoiler as a replacement to a standard WRX surf board.

I have been looking at high level (STI type) on Ebay and was wondering
what, if any are the problems in fitting them.

Spoke to one supplier who suggested they never fit as spoiler fixings vary
from car to car ????

Thought anything out of a factory would be fairly consistent.
The prices range from 130 quid up over which is a lot cheaper than
an Subaru supplied item. My dealer quoted me best part of 900 quid

Regards.

If for a newage then worth staying away from the ebay ones on the whole unless you're prepared to spend lots of time and effort getting them to fit properley.

Otherwise places like DRMotorsports do a good range which are a direct replacement for the WRX standard spoiler.
Or of you want something a bit different you could go for a Carbon Fibre one like on the Spec C / S202 which you can get from Scott Lowe..

Seeing as theres a thread about spoilers I have a question I wanted to ask, we have a 51 plate WRX and we're not to sure what the spoiler is off as it is not the standard, someone said it is either a STI spoiler or it even could be from a UK300, can anyone help, I've attached a couple of pics for you to see.

Thanks, I just checked their website and it is exact to the Rallytech one.

From £500 Glad it was already on the car when we got it.

just ordered my sti replica spoiler off ebay (before joining her) the quality is pretty rubish and will need a fair amount of work before painting plenty of rubbing down etc.

thinking maybe of putting back on ebay and holding out for a genuine one to turn up.

keep you posted.

i bought mine off ebay too and the finish wasnt too good, however the person doing the work said he could do it as it did fit, luckily (05WRX) it would take about 2 weeks, cost me 100 squid from vauxhallworld or something like that. not bad for the price. would be another 200 quid for the work as the spoiler was slightly damaged in transit. should have the spoiler back this week so will post some pics for u ebay spoiler wonderers to see what there like. Its very similar to the one in the post above but with no brake light. Willsy
