Goodbye Subaru
Well after 4 years of ownership (3 yrs MY98 turbo & just over 1yr Sti5) I am moving on.
Can't fault em, awsome performance for the money and sound the nuts
PITA to sell though but,
After 4 months of no interest what-so-ever on here, auto trader and ebay i've bitten the bullet and PX'd the STi5 for a mint Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 TD Exceed (does this count as going to the so called 'dark side' ? )
Insurance is nearly a third of what i'm paying now , better mpg (well, only slightly and i think diesel is cheaper than optimax, plus i can get points on tescos fuel again ) much much more comfortable to drive/be driven in and it has 50 times more gadgets .
At least i have stayed japanese - was thinking about a disco at one point
Will i miss the subaru ?.............performance, definitely , otherwise ????? No, don't think so.
I still have my XR2i (ableit 2.0L in a 2i shell) so i'll frequent this BBS, only not as much as i used to - the addiction finally wore off .
All the best and thanks for the advice, bargains and subaru days out etc etc
Chris
