The recirculating one that Subaru fitted is best.

the standard one is a recirculating one. i.e you cant hear a woosh sound. if you want to hear a woosh sound which is atmospheric, fit a bailey evo twin piston one.

Not again; dont fit VTA dump valves to your car; theyre ****e and the only benefit is in McDonalds carpark. A VTA dump valve causes overfueling which washes the bores on your car. Its as bad as driving round with the choke half on.

It is true Neil, yes.

In answer to your question below; VTA stands for Vent To Atmosphere.

i fitted an induction kit to my scooby today and i can say that the noise that you get from the wastegate through it while retaining the standard dump valve is far better than vta

recirculating = no noise. vta = noise. no power gains just noise. the vta can cause rough running and the fueling can change. i personaly like the vta because it gives popping and banging which sounds good. my maf sensor and 02 sensor are new and my fueling was fine on rolling road with decat exhaust and ind kit. each to there own
