1000 miles oil change

1000 miles oil change
I am approaching 1000 miles therefore the car is going to require it's first oil change. If I exceed the 1000 miles slightly ie approx 1100-1200 before having the oil change will this be a problem?

According to the dealer I spoke to no. So long you have sufficiant oil and water you should be fine. In the same situation, getting mine serviced on Monday.
If you do pass the 1000 mile mark you still have to keep to the "running in" mode before you get the oil and filter changed.
After that progressively increase the revs over the next 500 miles.

I have just looked a the maintenance schedule in the owners manual and under 1k the only thing that is listed is check idle mixture. Is an oil change therefore required at 1k or not?
