Warning !
cleaning car with sponge (wrx04 ppp) and nearly slice my finger off
a stone had taken out half the fog light lens and left jagged glass everywhere, it sliced a corner of the sponge clean off !
so , checked the other and that has a bullet hole the size of 50p
car is 5 months old, and its got 22k on motorways ): so i guess that explains it !
but my point is check the nes first before just diving in ! i guess thats why they do risk assessments at work !
anyway, where can i get a good price on fog light covers and fog lights anyone, ive learnt the hard way ): another sti benifit ):

I've got zillions in my fog lights cover - 48k miles. I reckon I've saved a fortune getting an STi instead of a WRX

You can fit the STI 8 fog light covers on the WRX. I've done exactly that on my WRX03. You need to pull off the plastic surround cowling whatever you call it that is around the foglight and then the STI ones just clip in. They are about £30 each from your Subaru dealer.

SO does that mean every time it gets foggy you have to stop your car and take them off or are they clear plastic?
I don't fancy trying to stop car on top of M62 just to be able to turn foggies on are they really that prone to damage.
I would like to know as about to take delivery of 05 WRX
Thanks

The Classics are prone to it. A bloke at work who owns a MY99 Claasic Turbo had to replace the left handside fog and front light due to stone damage. Something similar happened to the MY00 Classic turbo I owned had a hole of a bullet on the nearside front light. GOt it replaced at a cost of £250 from the main dealer. The lesson here is not to drive too close to the car in front.
