Default Sti downpipe v PPP downpipe

Anyone got pics of both the standard downpipe that comes on a MY02 STi and the downpipe that comes with the PPP.

I've been offered a downpipe for a good price....described as a 2002 STi Prodrive downpipe, but the guy doesn't seem sure if it's the one provided as part of the PPP. My understanding is that the PPP provides a sports cat and that it comprises the downpipe and short cat pipe in one, where as the STi comes like the WRX, with a catted downpipe and a seperate cat pipe that bolts between the downpipe and the long centre section...is this right.

The one i've been offered appears to be all in one....i'll see if i can post the pic for you.

I guess they don't change the downpipe at all on the WRX PPP then, judging by those pics. Thanks anyway

they dont on the WRX, they do, as you correctly said, on the STI PPP. I didnt think that it replaced the center cat pipe too though....

Just had the PPP done on my 03 Blobeye STi and the person I talked to at the dealers, told me that the cat is replaced with a more free flowing version. Especailly as you have a complete new system installed.

And is the new downpipe longer to encorporate the old downpipe and cat pipe all in one, bolting direct to the centre section?? And does it look like the one in the pic??

That answers the question then, the one i've been offered must be the standard STi downpipe...cheers V5

Should fit to the std WRX, non-STi model PPP, which, according to the pics. linked above, does NOT have the sports cat. fitted as part of the PPP for this car.
