lol and less chance of your car blowing up...would never trust a main dealer - specialists rock

What did you think of Cheam motors customer service? I found them pretty misserable at times, never clean the car and try to charge for things they don't do, eg washer liquid "oh sir, it may have been full when you brought it in but the mechanics would have drained the system and refilled it with our product". What **** - lol

Some include the bodywork service which adds £60-£100 to the mechanical service.
Never seen the point myself.

A good dealer though has got to best of both worlds, especially if they are happy for you to supply consumables (as mine is).

Hi all

Car due for a service soon, anybody know of a good specialist in the Aberdeen Aberdeenshire area. Been quoted between £150 for a minor and up to £300 for a major service by the main dealer.

to my knowledge (block exemption is a minefield) they can't stop you having it serviced by a recognised garage (i.e. VAT registered) as long as it is up to the O.E. schedule and O.E. quality components are used.................

will have a word with a SUBARU service manager friend of mine who passes lots of import peeps my way and get back to you!!

sorry don't stock Swissol stuff, we are an AUTOGLYM spot.......................

second service is only oil and filters so even at £160 its still expensive but you will have to pay it to keep the warranty powerman

Doesn't it apply only to cars supplied after a certain date (September 2004 comes to mind)

No problems at Cheam motors but will not take my car back to Bell & Colvill, what a bunch of un-helpful *****. Same guy in the service dept never helps me out is only ever interested in doing work on your car under warranty if the work was first carried out thier, ie ppp exhaust was banging and he said it was not a warranty item & go back to the garage where it was fitted or pay the very high hourly rate to have it realined so took it to Cheam, no probs, no questions, all sorted.
