0-100mph in 10.1 ? is this possible
Went for a play this afternoon with my HKS Turbo timer with dash setting.
Since my car was changed to mph my t/timer speedo now displays mph.
My car is a 99 Sti type ra with full 3" turbo back , ITG Panel filter and a Tek3 remap which which equates to 323bhp and 300 lbs/ft torque
Set the t/timer to dash mode @ 0 - 100km/h (Bare in mind km now mph) , set a time of 10.1 and 10.3 !!!
My car is fast but can this be acheived on my mods ??

A p1 is 1295kg so 1240 is probably about right for an RA which has less kit. My S2000 was exactly 1360kg with me and a full tank of fuel in it tonight (I'm 90kg btw) I know this cause my mate and I have found a company in livingstone with an ultra-accurate weighbridge at their front entrance gate. We park up, walk into the office, spy the weight and ask for directions to justify our visit

weighed my 96 v limited type RA last week at 1240kgs without driver but with a/c,spoiler,sub,window motors and full tank. so your weight should be around 1240-1300kgs. gota be impressed with that time!

yep would be around that time... maybe nudging 11 in the real world!
Don't forget the WR1 claims... 10.6 for 0-100 thats with 1470kg and 316 bhp... @ 214 bhp per tonne!
Ra at around 258 BHP Per tonne should be around 11.

0-100 in 10.3 and 0-120 in 3 months coz it runs out of revs lol.
Got to love ra's but I dont think I could live with one in the real world. Plus I reckon I would blow it to bits.

Standard Spec-C's have been recorded at achieving 0-100 in 11.1. This I presume (as all magazines seem to follow the same guidelines) they don't cane the hell out of the car on the launch, so with the abuse factor and all out lowest times required I would of thought this could be made lower. In essence I don't see your estimation being unreasonable considering your lower weight etc.
Of course what ever people think of any Prodrive times given, I would suspect the remit of "you can hammer that car as much as you like to get the best time as it isnt yours - lol " would always entice the urge to completely get the max from the car.
I have also gained experience over the years of what a difference a good start and bad start can make to times. The time it takes to cover the first 60ft is always a very good indication (can be recorded at drag strips) of how well your launches are. Some peoples launches may seem perfect to them, but put against someone that really knows how to launch can show some interesting differences in times...... a successful launch is an art, believe me!
Regards,
Shaun.
