Default RB5 317 Now sorted ........

Hi All

I have just come back from Plymouth after having the stalling problem fixed by Alan Jefferys Engine Tuning of Plympton www.enginetuner.co.uk.

Alan pluged in his laptop to the port just under the steering wheel and hey presto it diagnosed a faulty Lambda sensor and a faulty MAF, thank god Ive been driving like a wendy for the past week (thanks for all your advice).

The car was running rich to say the least 6.90% C/O Volume when it should have been 0.02% C/O volume, so thats where all my fuel has been going then

Car now idles great and is running 0.9 bar of healthy boost.

Guess whos car was at Alan's place today????? Richard Hammonds from BBC2's Top Gear, Dodge Charger lime green and black, 450 pounds of torque 0 to 100 mph 9.0 seconds, I have never heard anything as loud in my life.

Any way going for a blast now and to use some boost....

PS Thanks to everyone for you valued advice really appreciated...

And cheers to Alan Jefferys for sorting the motor.....

And his brother Lee Jeffrey specialises in scoobys (wrx.co.uk) and is a thoroughly decent bloke (not like most dealers)

Alan Jeffery's is a great company. I used to go down there when I had my MY99 STI Type-R. He has tuned my nextdoor neighbours Clio 182 to 230bhp and in a few weeks will be fitting new cams and some other stuff to give it around 250bhp....in a Clio!!

What exactly has he done to get that much?
And without cams. Sounds unlikely to me.
With cams, headwork, manifold, exhaust, induction, ecu, larger injectors you would get around 205-210bhp.
Throttle bodies 225bhp+
