Default Newage: Square bootlock conversion from round??

I've bought an 04 STI bootlid and spoiler for my WRX newage (MY03), but the bootlock hole is too big for my round bootlock.

Can I fit a square bootlock surround but keep my existing key?

Don't fancy the idea of having a different key...

Anyone done this??

Think I've got this sorted... gonna delock the boot.

Been quoted £120 to weld a plate and then respray the lid, which I think is quite a good price - how much would a big spray shop charge?

better idea for ya mate
remove the boot lock, remove your wrx/sti badges
re-stick them a bit lower and cover the hole from the boot lock with one of your badges

Just pay the £14 for a square lock then and fit that, bit cheaper than £120!
