Autoexpress Driver Power Survey
The latest edition of Autoexpress features the Driver Power 2005 Survey.
According to this Survey the Impreza comes 7th out of 100 for handling, and is beaten by cars such as the Porsche Boxster, Honda S2000 which is fair comment, but in 6th place for handling is the Mazda MX5, and just behind in 8th place is the MGZS.
No suprice the Impreza came out at 98th place for running costs.

Hehe - fair point on the Scooby not being cheap to run...

Handling is subjective and has nothing to do with grip or cornering speed. That might explain why some people prefer the handling of a RWD front engined roadster over a 4WD saloon/estate.

IMHO, as standard set-up, Impreza's don't have great handling. They have $hitloads of grip, but handling is realtively poor (understeer, major lift off oversteer etc).
With a few suspension.geometry mods this can be altered, but I would assume the survey is of standard cars!
