Default Car covers

I am going on holiday soon

The annoying bit is that the scoob is going to be parked under a tree for 2 weeks.

I don't want want it to get covered in sap and poo so I thought about getting a car cover.

As I am only going to use it once I don't want to pay a fortune, but at the same time I don't want something nasty that scratches the body.

I guess the cover will need a lining to protect the car. I was wondering about looking at halfrauds covers.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Nicci,

I bought a cover a couple of years back from a company advertising in the back of Autocar (next day delivery & all). Can't remember what they are called now but they do prestige covers for Ferrari's, Bentley's, etc.

Mine cost about £130 and was money well spent. Its fully lined on the inside, has air pockets over the scoop to let the car breath, spring-loaded hooks at each corner to hold it down to the car, and can be tied down and padlocked using a plastic covered steel cable and lock through centrally located tie eyes.

This thing has been a godsend as I can't get the car into the garage.

Not sure if you want to pay this much but you definitely get what you pay for.

Cheers.

I can't justify spending over £130 for just 2 weeks use, let alone get a custom car cover delivered before I go away.

Does anyone know of anything I could use to protect the paintwork apart from another layer of wax?

Thanks for the advice so far.

http://www.cover-zone.co.uk

...not that they do Impreza covers, but see the "Free Cover Offer" if you want to donate your car to be measured up!

I got some sample material from them for an indoor cover and it look pretty good.

PS someone is often selling these on eBay, cheaper than the quoted prices - it might even be the same people

Tony,

Sorry mate but I can't give any more detail than I have. It was a couple of years back now.

Nicci, not sure what else to advise. Is there no one who can offer you a garage for the car while you are away?
