i have just bought a blitz timer and asked the clinic how much they would charge and its gonna be 60 squid so as they only charge 20 an hour it will be taking the pros 3 hours

It may be easier to get the correct harness - about £8-12 to make life much easier fitting it to the ignition wires.
It is a 10 minute job if it's just a simple turbo timer, or half an hour or so if you have to connect it to some of the ECU signal wires (rpm etc.)

I'm not sure who sell the harnesses nowadays. You could try Grade A Breakers. They often used to have them in. Scoobyworld may be able to supply you too.
I threw one out only a couple of weeks ago - doh!
