NO MORE SCOOBY FUN
I hate to start another thread on the subject but here goes anyway.
I sold my beloved MY97 turbo last september with the intention of replacing it this spring with a newer scooby.
HOWEVER i can no longer justify the cost of running one of these incredible cars any more, because my daily comute is a 46 mile round trip it meant running an old escort as well as my scooby, for the daily grind to work.
What am i replacing it with i hear you ask ??????
Well it is going to be a.....DIESEL......i'm afraid.
It is a no brainer really:-......
VW BORA 1.9 TDI 115 BHP
210LB/FT TOURQUE
50MPG+
6 SPEED GEARBOX
CHEAP INSURANCE
ROAD TAX OF £115 PER YEAR
10K MILES FOR MINOR SERVICE
20K MILES FOR MAJOR SERVICE
Sorry guys i will always love scoobys and i will shed a tear when ever I hear that wonderful scooby throb.
I will still use scooby net because it is absolutely brilliant....
BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL..
TONY

Sorry to hear that
If it's any consolation, you're far from being the only one to ever sell up and get a diesel. I commute on average four days a week in a scruffy old Primera for much the same reason.
Somehow I've still managed to do about 4500 miles in the scooby vs 2000 in the Nissan since I bought them, though
