NO MORE SCOOBY FUN
I hate to start another thread on the subject but here goes anyway.
I sold my beloved MY97 turbo last september with the intention of replacing it this spring with a newer scooby. HOWEVER i can no longer justify the cost of running one of these incredible cars any more, because my daily comute is a 46 mile round trip it meant running an old escort as well as my scooby, for the daily grind to work. What am i replacing it with i hear you ask ?????? Well it is going to be a.....DIESEL......i'm afraid. It is a no brainer really:-...... VW BORA 1.9 TDI 115 BHP 210LB/FT TOURQUE 50MPG+ 6 SPEED GEARBOX CHEAP INSURANCE ROAD TAX OF £115 PER YEAR 10K MILES FOR MINOR SERVICE 20K MILES FOR MAJOR SERVICE Sorry guys i will always love scoobys and i will shed a tear when ever I hear that wonderful scooby throb. I will still use scooby net because it is absolutely brilliant.... BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL.. TONY |
Sorry to hear that :(
If it's any consolation, you're far from being the only one to ever sell up and get a diesel. I commute on average four days a week in a scruffy old Primera for much the same reason. Somehow I've still managed to do about 4500 miles in the scooby vs 2000 in the Nissan since I bought them, though :D |
