Your car has a dump valve fitted; a re-circulating dump valve that doesnt lose the metered air; why f*ck about with something that you dont understand? VTA dump valves are of no benefit to you (unless youre running a 400Bhp+ monster on a drag strip and then occasionally.....) They just make a stupid noise whilst slowly f*cking your car as the bores are washed.

Rally cars dont have VTA dump valves either; the noise you hear is a combination of the wastegate chattering and the turbo squeeling. 'The fast and the Furious' / McDonalds car park has a lot to answer for doesnt it?

LOL fast and furious, how fake is that although i love both movies

colourful flame kits and what not

but im sure in rally the flat four rumble is less noticable than a normal Sti or wrx

It is; the 'flat four rumble' comes from the car having un-equal length exhaust manifolds; theyre cheaper to produce than equal length ones. Equal length manifolds need a lot of creative bending to fit the necessary pipe pengths in but they will release more torque/power.

By now someone has usually defended their VTA dump valve by stating that 'HKS know what theyre doing and wouldnt make one if it wasnt a demon tweak.....' and Id reply 'Bollocks! HKS would make a silver plated butt-plug if it made them money, all sorts of pointless ****e is available in Japan'
