Wife phoned me from work to say she had scratched front nearside alloy, after turning into carpark at work, losing back end on the ice and over correcting and hitting curb with front wheel.
I ask how bad is it.Well its about a quarter of the wheel scratched she said.
She comes home ,I have a look and find the wheel is trashed.
She then says she thinks the car is pulling to the side.
On further inspection the nearside alloy is one inch further back than the other side!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone know which bit she may have bent, aside from the wheel??
And how much to replace??
She was upset(nearly as much as me!!)so I had to keep calm ish.
But why cant a woman say "I have fooked up big time and smashed the car to bits acting like a Chunk "
Instead of saying "I have scratched it"
Ah well.**** happens as they say.

there is one good thing to look on though, that it was only (how can i say only to a scoob?!), but only a material possession damaged, it's replaceable, and not your wifes life, because in the recent weather conditions, it could have been a lot worse
look on the bright side

nar, im only a lil youngsta you see, dont own a scoob unfortunatly, therefore cant help, sorry!
does the scoob still actually drive properly if the nearside wheel is 1 inch further back than the offside? sounds a lil like a bent chassis almost, but i wouldnt know because im only a girly as people often say lol

hmm, wheel balancing? maybe it's been knocked out of line, but if the alloy is dodgey aswell, then who knows! sounds quite strange...could be fun taking it to the garage, unless there's lot of left hand bends on the way there!

if the wheels sat back an inch then the common things to bend are the bottom arm (most likely),sometimes the steering rack arm can bend which will throw the track out and sometimes if hit hard enough the shocker leg can bend, either way your gonna have to take it into the garage and they will just sting you where it hurts.

Ease the pain at the garage by remembering to take a jar of vaseline.
Mark's pretty much covered what's likely to be causing the pull but you could be looking at a plethora of bushes, ball-joints, anti-roll bar, etc. if they really try and screw you. I hope you know a place you can trust to be honest.
Good luck and well done for not blowing your top

to be honest it will be expensive to repair but know one can tell you what is wrong untill someone gets it on a ramp and can have a good look
