First step is to fit some f*cking stupidly large wheels, then a vent to atmosphere dump valve and an 'induction kit' and youre away. 300Bhp innit?

It isnt that difficult but it can be extremely expensive especially if youre starting with a 10 year old WRX thats probably been thrapped on supermarket unleaded for a couple of years. If your engine is fit, and you should check firsy which is expensive, a TD05 equipped car would need a complete decat, a freely breathing exhaust, upped fuel pressure and an A'pexi PFC; an uprated TMIC wouldnt hurt either.

Good quality remapped ECU, exhaust, filter, fuel pump and reg and plenty of change out of 2K should see you 280-300bhp. Probably think about doing the brakes with the change, oh and paying the extra insurance for the mods.

You can pick up a set of second hand 4 pots fairly cheaply, a few hundred quid off a specialist.

Have they come down in price then? When I last looked it was going to cost a lot more than that, although I was getting new rotors and minty pads too.

Sarah,
Achieved 316 bhp with just short of 290lb torque with a UK97 turbo and this is still on the oem injectors and top mount.
I'd say it cost me about £2k-£2.5k if I include uprating the clutch. Have to run Octane Booster as well now. Knocklink a must and the apexi pcf (with Andy F remap ) was perhaps the best mod engine wise that I've bought.
Good luck.
