30k Service Cost!
I've decided not to sell my STI7 for a couple of reasons, the main one being serious lack of interest and serious depreciation! Anyway, got to put it through its 30k service. Subaru Mansfield and Derby are quoting £400 - £450 respectively(should be the same shouldn't they?) Thats a lot more than I thought it would be to be honest! Does anyone know of any one localish to Notts with better prices than that?! Waiting for TSL to get back to me.
Cheers
Simon

Cheers corradoboy. TSL are £460 all in. The only difference in their service and subaru is a high flow panel filter I think and maybe some different choices in certain fluids/parts, not sure though.

30K is a biggie on the new age isn't it? I remember because when I bought mine it had just been done - list price was around the £450 mark.

That doesn't sound like a big service to me? I would like to think that they do all that sort of stuff with the exeption of the plugs everytime .......... I think its a bloody rip off what they do and dont do these days.
My missis 19K service on her A3 was £260 and when I asked the labour rate it was £80 per hour. The guy went through what they had done, all very professional like ...... I told him that next time I take it in I dont want the car wash and hoover being done. bollards if im paying someone £40 to wash my car .... They made a big play of saying they had cleaned it etc ....... yeah I expect they did at £80 an hour .... dick turpin has nothing on them .......

Mind you, the prices that main dealers charge for servicing you would think that they could afford to put some tyres on their loan vehicles (53 plate WRX and the fronts are completely illegal)
