Default In car power converter for dv camera

For all of you running dv cameras in-car when on trackdays and runs out, I finally sorted out the power issue
here

I've already tested it with my sony dv camera, and it works a treat. Until now, I've been relying on batteries for my filming sessions, which is not the best solution, especially if its a long drive. Now, I can do all my incar footage with the power converter, and switch to batteries when I need some external shots.

Excellent, bought a new camera to plug my bullet cam into, but forgot to see if anyone did a 12v adaptor for it, and they don't. Just ordered one.

Nice one martin, I'm going to see my installer m8 ***** to see if he can plumb it in properly, so I'll just have a plug socket showing. Until then, it sits very nicely in the glovebox between the seats on my MY99, with the wires hidden down the side of the passenger seat

On what? If you mean on the above films, then I have only 1 dv camera, but placed in different positions. For the track day film, it's easy to do a few laps with the dv cam mounted in one position, then move it, and do a few more
I then use software on my pc to edit the footage together, using the track as a reference for the cuts.
I'm now looking into getting a car-pc fitted, with permantly mounted cameras that will download the film directly to a hard-drive. That way, I can unplug the hd, plug it into my home pc, and edit the raw footage much easier.
