Default More dangerous than the 'chavs'??

Loads of people slag off the 'chavs' because of their particular style of driving, but I recon Mrs Average and her family in her Focus C-Max is way more dangerous.

Okay, coming off the M4, two lanes on the slip road. Focus C-Max goes into left lane, and we go into the right lane, as we are turning right at the roundabout. We are half-way through overtaking when the C-Max starts to pull into our lane . We brake like mad, she pulls back into her original name, we go past and she is looking into the back of the car!!

Surely that is more dangerous than someone trying to have a bit of fun late on a friday night??

Annoying yes but not life threatening. It's the ***** racing up and down town centre high streets on a Friday night that are a dangerous and in my opnion much worse than "bad drivers" which is what you described above.

The other thing that Mr & Mrs Average have in their favour is they probably have more chance of being insured!!

I had someone drive straight in front of me at a roundabout. Slammed on the anchors and came to a stop - she did too. ended up touching my bumper to her wheelarch at about 2mph.

She wanted to drive off, I suggested otherwise through gesticulation

Pulled up after the roundabout, she told me...

"Sorry, I didn't look, my kids were shouting that toys'r'us should be closed"

No damage done to either car, but sheeeesh.................

That was back when I had a R19 16v...

I have another Toys-R-Us story :-)

Went to the TRU at Coventry, was going round the small roundabout just as you turn into TRU when I nearly hit a car REVERSING round the roundabout, the stupid woman had missed the entrance to TRU and instead of going round the roundabout decided it would be better to reverse !!!

Beggars belief really !!

Blimey oh riley, mine was in Coventry too. Coming out from the back road to Rugby to the roundabout with the A46 (near B&Q), the dozy lady was on the a46 and just carried straight on despite me being on the roundabout with this curious thing called "right of way". If she'd have carried on, she'd probably have been fine, but she froze and slammed on the anchors.

It wasn't a black Golf was it ?

Twice I have come within inches of an accident with Mrs Average cutting in front of me (without indicating) on a roundabout... the same roundabout too!
They just change lanes without looking/caring!!

Ha ha
See this sort of thing every day.
Comes back to the old argument of policing the roads, a lot of the loons you have described would not do such daft things if there was a greater presence of police cars on the road - combined with greater driver training and retest every 5 years or so - to take into account for the ever changing driving conditions.
Now if the above had being pulled and given a lesson in correct driving / the dangers of their actions, I feel you what you described would not be an every day occurance.

About time the goverment stopped policing through scameras - - but hey they make the goverment lots of money - that why we have them.
