Easiest way is to have a look on the Autotrader site and see if there are any similar cars for sale.

At the end of the day the market value is what you would have to pay to replace it IMHO!

Do a search on the subaru uk website to see what they are selling similar aged/mileage cars for, then tell your insurance co this is how much its going to cost to replace.

When the insurance paid out for my stolen Golf , I sent them adverts from websites showing cars of the same age and spec , I ended up getting £800.00 more for the car , It pays to stick to your guns in case's like this

March 03 WRX 5 door, 30k miles, just sold now (just literally back from dropping it off at the happy buyer!), for £12,600.

You do not want to know what the trade value is. Expect to be offered 10k - seriously - so you will have a fight on your hands.

Don’t it make you mad you pay your insurance and when you make a claim they always offer you a lot less then the market value and you have to keep onto them for more, when its time for our insurance renewal we should haggle and offer them less see how they like it

That's exactly what we do - we ring round, we haggle.

Seriously, very few companies make much money from motor insurance.
