Default Stone Chipping

Can anyone who has the latest subaru car, MY05, inform me whether the stone chips still take place on the doors due to the front tyres picking up stones from the road and displacing them onto the bodywork behind?

I know the sti model from 03 onwards needed mudguards to stop this happening so I wondered if subaru had re-designed the car so this stone chipping behind the front wheels would not take place.

Thanks.

Not sure as dont get the car until Tue, but I'm pretty sure it has no significant body / panel changes so probably will get stone chips from wheels to side panels.
Bought a set of mudguard anyway to prevent this

Good move!! Got some for mine, expensive, but well worth it; the side of the car stays much cleaner and the stones can't chip the flanks or 0in my case- nicely colour coded side skirts!

All the best

Any chance of any pics of the mudflaps on your car?

Just to add, strange how this does not happen on the classic but only on the new shape. Surely a re-design of the car is needed around the front arches?

I wish mate! My digital camera software has packed up. However, pics are available at

www.scottsautomotive.co.uk

They're the ones I have on mine; great quality and half the price of what a Subaru dealer would charge!

All the best
