Default Harnesses In Standard STi?

With the Standard 04 Sti seats, are the seats designed to take harnsesses easily? As i dont collect it till Friday i dont know.

I got a set of LUKE silver 3 point harnesses belts cause a customer sent them back deciding he actually wanted black...

Now i could keep em as stock or i could put em in my scooby.

Anyone?

Wink

I did ask about some a long time ago but most peeps seemed to say harnesses were Dangerous in the STD Sti seat and the majority of accidents your better off with the STD seatbelft.

Sorry can't remember the exact reason but it was due to seat design IIRC

If you replace the seat with a none reclining/bucket seat there should not a Problem with 3/5 piont harnesses AFAICR ..

Why do you want a harness? A harness is a liability in a road car; even if its decent and properly mounted (and few are...). If I were you Id be more concerned about my reclining seat collapsing than what seatbelt I have.

I sat in a car with harness belts the other day and it felt like I had a life jacket round my neck - it was truely horrid - perhaps as I am only 5' this made the experience worse but to me it didn't feel right and your rear passengers lose valuable footwell space too.

Well i been driving cars on the road with harness belts and no seat belts for 3 years now.

When some one hit me i have never been so thankfull in all my life. I didnt move, they held me so so well in place and i personally think there brilliant.

Ah i will just re-sell them though if there was an issue with standard seats
