Default Good deal or not?

Looking seriously at buying a blue 02 STI with PPP, 18 PPF7s, big rear spoiler, springs, defi gauges/adjustable boost box? (hope that's correct), Alpine stereo, 29,000 miles with FSSH, 2 owners in excellent condition. Price is £ 17,995. The test drive was very impressive although what's the red light on the speedo that beeps?

I have been offered £ 14,000 trade in on my 03 WRX PPP wagon in blue with 20,000 miles, FSSH, 18s (gold Prodrive replicas with new F1s), springs, 2 owners in excellent condition.

I don't really do any motorway/high miles etc so can live with the harder ride etc. Would welcome any thoughts/views please. Cheers.

£17,995 for a 02 STi sounds a bit steap to me. Have seen them selling for around £16k on autotrader etc... Sounds like good equipment. The red red bleeping light is a guide to when to change gear. You can set this to virtually any RPM. Have set to 6500 RPM as I have read this is optimal gear changing RPM for the STi.

Tempting but would need to sell my car privately. Not sure if I would I get much more than £ 14K not forgetting the hassle factor.
