Not Since last year when we wiped the grin of a certain Porsche GT2 owner...

Cool

Hello mate

I Wouldn't dream of racing on public highways but i have wiped the smiles off a few 911 drivers and a 355 spider driver (who tried to **** me off to his girlfriend/wife/mistress in the passenger seat).

Its not so much being quicker (although 0-60 I'm often ahead of them), but them not being able to get rid of me off their backsides!!!

However, when it comes to having the right sized almonds, there have been quite a few M3/911/360/355 drivers who have given up before 100mph and i have overtaken them.

The best feeling is not the straight line races where you can be left behind from 120mph upwards when their power out performs a 2 ltr turbo, but beating one off the lights up to 60 or out-handling them on a route with roundabouts and long straights.........in the wet.

I've found quite a few boxster s drivers like to have a go, but they haven't caused me too much aggro.

Its the annoying turbo diesel saloons that you have to watch out for with drivers who are rep's and love a motorway burn to pass the time. They can sit on a scoobs **** all day!!!

By the way, if you haven't guessed i have modded my engine and the handling.

Hop this is what you were after.

Yawn....
You know, I tune in to a lot of Porsche boards and I have yet to see a single thread along the lines of "which jap tin box have you raced recently"
Wonder why that is...perhaps you guys care & Porsche / Ferrari etc drivers dont.
Oh & to the chap that "beat" a GT2....he wasn't trying....he seriously wasn't.

Probably the most surreal encounter was having my mates XR2 sat up my **** at 110MPH up a 1:4 hill

But then it does have a 180BHP RS turbo lump and only weighs 820KGs so I spose I shouldn't be too surprised!!!

A blue metro was racing me the other day.
He gave a me a hard time......

Possible because I slowed to 20mph, and was I debating if he's insured - so I can brake test him and get the tiny scratch on my back bumper sorted

"Get back to you're goods in department" is what you should have said.

However I don't have a goods in department to get back to.
I could go and hassle the other developers in here though.

OK, fair point.

However, I don't think a dictionary would have helped much with that?

Anyway, I just don't understand why people can't use english instead of some1, ur, any1.

listened to a Tuscan S down the slip road... As it simply dissapered...very quicky... STi 0 tuscan 1

sounded well though for all of about 4 seconds...

DOH!

911 4s nothing in it!
340mr got the drop from a rolling 60mph upto Silly and he didn't catch up before had to slow
Merc E320 pulled away but not by much from say 60 onward... big torque!
Honda 600 RR left it by 150m out of a big private roundabout then 200m out out the next private roundabout and down a 1/2 mile straight... dry, sunny warm, good rider knee well down... no chance!
TVR old tuscan nothing in it...
Ferrari 348...left it
Wr1 30 rolling on from 30 to 90... nothing in it
355 nothing in it upto 70 and had to turn off
Evo Fq300 * 3 nothing in it from lights or when rolling

just a note... never taken any risks on a public road... never affected anyone elses driving and never gone fast in a bult up area! simple as that.. you can have fun and be sensible in a performance car and be safe ...
unlike the dick in the clio 172 last week who got blown away coming down the dual carriage way and when i did 30 decided to pass me doing about 70... complete tit!

You're means you are, and i wouldnt have said "get back to you are goods in department"

Had a intresting race with a Nissan Skyline R34 GTR in my MY00, just had my car mapped that week with new turbo, intercooler, injectors etc and was pretty pleased with it thinking how an earth could a car go any quicker when I saw the skyline I went flying past it on the M6, I was hitting about 155mph when the skyline came racing up behind me sticking to my back bumper, I pulled over and he just sailed straight past me and left me for dead, and the cheeky bugger just waved at me as he passed, even when racing my Knocklink was showing red, so thats my excuse for letting him past, nice sound as it left me must have been tuned up is well I couldnt believe how fast it left me when I was doing 155mph.

And before anyone starts about doing those speeds on the public highway, Yes im a idiot and i shouldnt of been doing those speeds and there was no children playing on the motorway at the time and there were no other cars there at the time either.

i discovered this morning that my bugeye wrx (totally standard. at the moment) is only slightly quicker than one of these (up to about 75/80 anyway) - http://www.mac1motorsports.co.uk/
2 litre pinto-engined 600kg kart! seemed like it stuck with my car off roundabouts and pulling away but seemed slower when i was behind it... I know the driver was trying as i work with him!

nice! ferraris tend to give up by 100mph! bikes like r6's and cbr600's arent a problem either. raced an r1 from 60 to 140mph in a straight line and he was pulling away slowly. thats good enuf speed for me and im not dead if i fall off!
