Rally cars dont have dump valves so you aint gonna get a chatter effect with a vta valve, the chatter is the wastegate opening/closing....

You'll not go wrong with a HKS SSQV if you're after a VTA.

The choice is yours whether you want to blow off or not That's all it is a bit of wind....

Default same dilema

I've currently got a HKS SSQ Blow off valve on my MY98 uk turbo and it won't give you the effect you're after. I have the same dilema and want a chatter noise but all I get with my HKS SSQ BOV is a quite high pitch chirp. If I feather the throttle off at low revs (around 3k) I get a slight chatter but that's about it. I've only ever heard a cosworth that sounds like what you and I are both after.

The best suited one is the recirculating one that's already fitted. If you want the silly noise and the potential risks to the engine that come with it, follow the other guys advice
