New age boots

i have got a my03 wrx and the boot is playing up and wont open. has anyone had this problem??

Mine can feel like the key is going to snap in the lock sometimes, but opens fine eventually.

Won't open on the key, or won't open on the internal release handle? If the latter, check the valet lock (the little lever on the inside of the lock) hasn't been moved - that disables the internal release to prevent pikey valets nicking your laptop from your boot.
