Default Burning Smell ? ? ?

Hi all,,,
After a silly moment yesterday in which i tryed to make my impreza wheel spin,, Wot i did was reversed up to high speed then slammed it into first, but it didn't work the car reved and smoked but this wasn't the tyres (Engine bay stank of burning) and know i feel i may of damaged something!

Can anybody tell me what would of smoked????? the diffs ?????

It wouldnt have done the diffs any favours, and the clutch would have suffered also.

not the best thing to do my friend . are u mad ! the smoke and smell was your clutch being anihilated in that moment of madness
