Sti 05 help
Posted in wheels and tires but not much response, moderators please leave for a bit in general. Thanks.
my White STi arrives 1st March and I need to make a decision on wheels.
So the choices are:
P-FF7's
or White OZ Superturismo WRC's.
Firstly can anybody kindly do a photoshop job to give me an idea if the white wheels will be a bit too much on a white new age STi?
Does anybody have any pics of one? (I doubt it!) Even on a white classic may give me some idea though.
Also any opinions would be welcolmed!
On the technical side will the OZ's fit, offset etc? I know everything is slightly different on the 05.
Thanks guys, decisions decisions, stressing me out!!!

I've had gold 17's on my blue 03 STi and fancy something a bit bigger and different. Also white car and gold wheels, i'm not too sure!

IIRC the MY05 has new wheels at 235 and whatever dimensions. So I would imagine aftermarket providers will not have any wheel yet that fit. That will leave you with what Prodrive offerings. I don't know whether MY02-MY04 STi's wheels are suitable as the track has been altered and arches amended.
If I was you I would hold back and see what comes out over the next year. (I couldn't wait with my MY03 and went for 10 spoke peodrive wheels) . I think now though I would have probably selected a different set of wheels with choices available.
HTH.

Also the hole pattern spacing (whatever it's called) has changed for 05 models.

Not sure - sorry. However, what I do know is that the '05 STI has a PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter - bolt spacing to you and me) of 114.3mm, as opposed to 100mm for every other Impreza ever made. So, no wheels made for any other Impreza will fit.
That's not to say that the same designs aren't made in the larger fitting, but you'll have to check with the supplier. I believe the offset is rather large too at ET53 (on my JDM car at least).
