Been looking round for a new car the past few weeks and had diffreant quotes on loads of cars which are in my budget saw a TVR Cerbera 4.2 which I quite fancied and got a quote which was £1.800 for a 22 year old ,now that aint bad and didnt think id have a chance at insuring it, but then put my sensible hat on and decided against it due to petrol and servicing cost and if anything went wrong etc would i be paying loads out, So I looked at a standard Evo 7 which looked really nice and I wanted, petrol wouldnt be as bad as the TVR and servicing and maintence would be about a little bit more than me old scoob but not as bad as the TVR but tried to get a insurance quote and not one company would touch me on it, which I cant understand as the TVR does 0-60 in 4.2sec and does 170mph+ and is rear wheel drive, where as the Evo does 0-60 in 5sec and 140mph and 4-wheel drive and is a much safer car

Maybe because the TVR would be in the garage being put right more often then guess you wont be able to drive it as much Joke people!

Strange isnt it, i can insure a scoob for the same as an audi A4 2.6! Hmmm

Another reason I decided not to buy it, but they do look bloody nice though, and the prices of cerberas now you can get a S reg for around 17k with 30k miles on the clock.
