Who looks down on us??
Thought I'd just ask this question.
We often do a fair bit of chav bashing on here, and deservedly so in most cases.
But whilst we take the p?ss out of them, who takes the p?ss out of us scooby owners? Does anyone know of any scooby-bashing links (besides those on scoobynet that is )!
Come on, we are mature enough to take it on the chin! It would be interesting to see what other drivers REALLY think of Impreza owners.
Cheers for any input.

Hmm, tough one that, let me see...
Evo drivers
TT drivers
Porsche drivers
BMW M3 drivers
and just about any other marque of high performance sports cars just as we take the **** out of Nova & Saxo drivers.
It's natural, no harm meant just fellow enthusiasts defending their ride.

Go to Google, type in Chav & Impreza, you'd be surprised by the results

Suppose I was asking for that, ever wish you hadn't said anything ?

Very true, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't! You just can't win really, whatever you drive.
Just have to carry on enjoying the P1 and stare directly back up the nose of those who disapprove!

Maybe when I get the brakes upgraded, already priced up the Godspeed 330mm kit and am now saving up my pennies. The car is completely standard enginewise and thats how its staying, but the standard brakes don't feel up to the job. No point in planting my right foot if I can't stop!
Other than that it's a great drive, I never want to climb out of it once I'm in it.

From the chavscum.co.uk forums on the subject of Chav Mobiles:
Now, excuse me, I have to change into my Burberry tracksuit...

Q. Who looks down at Scoobies??
A. anyone who has not drove one.
Seriously though i hated Scoobs with a passion thought they were for
Chav's and were butt ugly until my mate got one and said "do you want to take
it for a spin" i was f*****g hooked after that an i couldn't give it back
makes my Audi A6 2.8 quattro feel dead slow and and handling wise makes it feel like a canal barge.
now i dream of owning one looks aside

So chavs are getting sophisticated are they? Weapon of choice then would have to have blacked out windows with compulsory air pockets, chrome arches and 20" spinners.
Cool innit!

Good reply, I've converted a few people when they've been out in mine. Some of them aren't into cars atall but let's just say it opened their eyes!

This is a recent dilemma that I faced when trading in the Golf V6 4Motion for my STi Prodrive. Especially when considering my job, wife's image perception etc.
However, I had to succumb to the driving experience that you encounter every time you climb in. I am an enthusiast through and through with purely selfish motives. I arrive at work with a big smile on my face and get home with a similar inane grin!
Sure, the Chavs will look, stare and occassionally pluck up enough money to actually own what is a piece of affordable performance motoring history. For now I can console myself with the fact that I own a reasonably new (MY02), limited edition scoob with subtle modifications.
My boss has recently bought a 2nd hand Porsche Cayenne V6 model. Beautiful looking car, but with a 0-60 of 9.2 secs, where is the fun in that? And rolling in at somewhere round £35K, a Type 25 would most definately have been on top of my shopping list!!!
Anyway, I hope that you all remain true to your Impreza roots, the Chavs will come and go and once used Evo's come down in price I'm sure that they'll move on. Especially if Top Gear keeps showing them whooping Ferrari's **** on the test track!!!
