Default What I want is.....

Sold the Version 5 RA V-limited recently, replaced with a Nissan 350Z. I love it - nicely screwed together, solid, nice handling and the girls love it more than they did the Scoob!

When i got the Scoob 5 years ago, it was a cool car - I sold it coz the Chavs are all getting them now and its become the consumate Boy racers car. But jesus, after 5 years i still loved it, wasn't bored with it, and was still intimidated by what a challenging drive it was.

But yesterday a UK Scoob kicked the ****e out of the Z!

So what I want is this (please Mr Subaru)

I really nicely screwed together Classic shaped Scoob, with leather, decent quality interior, SatNav and loads of other grown up toys. No Boo Yakka factor (discrete spoiler, no placcy stuff) Then i want all the V-Lim stuff, diffs, rack, lightweight bits etc etc. that'll give me the driving experience i want. And i'll have the boot+5 people capacity that i miss with the Z.

Reckon its then a Subaru M3, but Subaru would probably sell it to me for 35k.

We can dream i guess.....

That surprises me..I thought those Z's were quicker than a UK scoob...

I was looking at one for when I grow up a little....

What is the performance of the 350z then?

If you look at Jeremy Clarkson's new DVD you'll see that the 350Z isnt actually that quick at all; thoroughly beaten by a 1989 Fairlady Z (300ZX TT), and barely bettering a 1970's 260Z.....

Speaking of which, the biggest surprise for me was seeing the 1960's TR6 out dragging a new S2000.

Pretty good really, pulls like a train at higher speeds, runs out of revs real quick though - red lined at 6700, just when it feels like its gonna come 'on cam'.

Not sure the Scoob in question was standard, but it smarts a bit falling victim to the bloody thing when I was driving an awesome V-Lim a few weeks back.

But... i knew what i was getting into!

you should be able to beat a new age in the 350 but probably not a classic due to the extra weight of a newage, get the nismo exhaust or supercharger i saw in jap performance very nice!!

Where abouts are you? I had a bit of a run-in with a 350Z yesterday off a roundabout between Chatham and Rainham, managed to gain substantially! I was in a Silver (although mega dirty) Classic!
