Cool

No 159 with nearly 100k. Now needs rocker gaskets replacing, but other than that going well.

Um, hope you haven't got the gold wheels still on?!!! Mine are nicely tucked away somewhere until I sell it ...

I used to own No 2. Saw it around Aberdeen about 6 months ago.

I've only had mine 2 wks, so I'm leaving the standard 15" gold wheels on until I tire of them. I think they look ok with the black paintwork.

I had Cat 99.. sold it to Grovit on here last month. I am sure he will post soon.
I've moved on to a CTR for a while. Would love to get another Scooby in the future once my bank balance has improved !!

Cheers

I don't want to hijack this thread, but if any of you have photos, please send them to me, as I'm desperate to get some more content for the catalunya section on scoobyphotos.com

The wheels supplied with the Cat were 15" standard wheels painted gold. They were not nice, hence why nearly every Cat has them replaced! e.g. yours. After market wheels look sooooo much better.

- Grovit - Catalunya 99.

Yep - Bought my baby off of Gazza - love her to bits although still hardly driven her at all. Totally standard to look at except for high rise boot spoiler, clear indicators, Scoobysport backbox and white Raceline RL7 alloys.

Dave - PM your e-mail address and punt a few pictures over to you.

No.17 here - owned it for nearly 2 years now and still love it to bits. First thing to be replaced was the wheels as they weren't in very good nick when I bought it - got 17" Gold Speedline Turini's

Welcome - there aren't many of us cat owners; the terzo seems more popular, though the cat's are rarer. I've only had mine a few months and still feeling my way with it.
Have you got any dealer fitted options on your car apart from the cat extras, e.g. sunroof?

Yeh, it's a great colour but a real pig to keep clean and shiny, especially if you live out in the sticks like me.

Cheers

When my friend was looking for one of these she looked at three in the Norfolk/Suffolk area alone although we're not sure if one was genuine.

mine is totally unmodified at the moment. Had mine since end of September and love it to bits (apart from the fuel consumption and servicing costs).
when washed it does look better than most others IMHO.

im after buying one when i can find one. If that counts...

What is the standard BHP of these? Are they a standard turbo apart from ;

Special black mica paintwork
Gold Alloys (same ones as fitted to 2.0 Sport, but painted gold)
Front and rear seats and side door panelling re-trimmed in black with red highlights
Short rally style gear ****
Carbon fibre effect dashboard
Air conditioning
Special floor mats (black with red trim and Catalunya logo)
Side and rear Catalunya decals
Interior numbered Catalunya plaque

Was there any engine/handling works carried especially for this car before it was sold?

In december there were loads on Autotrader, now none!

Power's the same as the turbo, afaik there were no other mechanical changes. You have to remember there were only 200 and a few will no longer be around.
I was looking for a UK turbo when I found mine quite close to where I live - bonus.

i need to get a run-about car first, because i dont want to be using a Cat everyday for work.
Another question, does the insurance cost jump up dramatically over a normal turbo becuase of what it is?

Thanks

The normal turbo is group 17 but the catalunya is a notch above at 18.
