Unhappy Melting Hoses !!

any ides?

It looks like the actuator hose, on my car they run above the big water pipe going into the turbo. It looks like the metal hose clips have been sat on the compressor housing transferring the heat into the pipe.

do you think this could be a symtom of a bigger problem?

I don't think so.

The small pipes connect between the pressure side of the turbo, the wastegate actuator and the boost control solenoid. All they do is carry pressurised air.

The melted pipes sit above the inlet side of the turbo, so shouldn't be getting too hot - the melting looks to be very localised though, and i noticed that the underside of the coolant pipe looks very slightly melted too ?

yeah the larger pipe (coolant feed) is melted as well , dont know if the coolant pipe is melting the smaller ones or vice versa

i agree. Just move the pipes or clips if you can and the problem will disspapear

twist the coolant one around a bit so it doesnt touch the actuator pipes

does you turbo get hotter then normal?
are you running 5bar boost on a tdo4?
